There are Some series of sculpture pieces which are made by blanket and fence including the stuff that just looks like that.
This sculpture is about the poetic landscape where we live in and which things hope we have. I would like to just chose and simple array objects to awake awareness to situation of shape of social structure.
This objects, blanket and fence are related with the verse-movements like a jumping, blocking, and covering. Also, they have a specific characteristics for shape, design, and pattern depend on each place and era. Because it is impossible to escape to use this object in the daily life, this stuff have unconscious visual feature that people expect to the emotion for daily objects. I collected and chosed to normal design blanket and fence from cheap, commercial, and public market. And then I tried to just display and assemble them by their color, form, and shape.
Another important thing is I endow each name to individual sculpture like a sun, cloud, butterfly that people think some object is related with romantic and fantasy. I imagine several romantic keywords such as star, sun, flower that we can see that in the normal society culture can lead people to impossible abstract boundary. This means that gap between the word and image make some unlimited imagination.
My works merge between each other, with rendering both two and three dimensional imagery and sculptural elements, incorporating surface, shape and weight. I enjoyed researching my perspective in terms of musical analogies words like rhythm, harmony, counterpoint, and dissonance for demonstrate themselves well to the description of what patterns do visually in public space. With constructions that depict the logic of their own rhythms, repetitions, and variations, I search for spatial conclusions that refer to ultimate balance of position. Most commonly, I have resources to the multiple repetition of forms, which can be usually abstract, such as lines and square, but they can also be complex and rhetorical. I execute concepts in series or repetition, processing abstract thought into solid object and imagery. I combines them in regular sequence and at some times confrontational tone with emotional, poetic, and often aesthetic fallacy with ludicrous. Repetition is a favorite practice in my sculptures, which introduces monotonous order and structure with Improvisation. That is why variations and subtle alterations are so important in my installation and sculpture.
